Dyeing Dream was born in 2018 from a love of soft yarns, rainbows and bright, neon (UV reactive) colours .

The yarn is dyed in Canberra, Australia in small lots (2-4 skeins at a time) so chances of getting identical yarn are close to impossible, especially if not brought at the same time. and I would encourage you to alternate skeins between rows if working on a larger project as this will break up any distinct differences between skeins.

I use acid dyes for all dying and after the dye process. All yarn is then washed out on a wool wash cycle at 20 degrees Celsius to ensure that there is no left over dye in the yarn you receive. Some yarn may still leak colour, so handwashing is still recommended, especially if you are using high contrast colours. However, there should be no problem with using a wool wash cycle on those yarns marked as ‘superwash’.

The yarn is primarily sourced from Australia, and is dyed in a cat and bird friendly home. (The pets do not get to help with the dyeing process, as the dye is poisonous!)

I hope you enjoy my yarn!
